Known throughout Italy, it is an Italian Christmas tradition associated especially with the province of Siena. A wonderfully chewy dessert containing mainly dried fruit and nuts.
Perhaps slightly less well known that the Margherita, the Fig Panforte is an wonderful accompaniment to any cheeseboard.
