From The House of Pocas, in the Douro Valley region of Portugal, a fortified wine produced from white grapes such as Malaysia Fine, Bodega, Rigato and Viosinho and aged 3 to 6 years in wood. Its floral aromas and fresh, fruity taste make it a refined aperitif.
Straw yellow in colour. Citrus and tropical flavours of pineapple and banana. Well-balanced and refined, refreshing, smooth with a long lasting finish.
White port pairs well with savory foods like smoked salmon, salted almonds, olives, and charcuterie, as well as creamy or rich soups. For sweeter pairings, it complements desserts featuring fresh fruit like strawberries, peaches, or citrus, as well as light cakes, panettone and some white chocolate desserts.
Serve as a sweet apertif in a similar way to Sherry, on ice or with tonic as a cocktail
