Also called Pignatello, Perricone is a rare, ancient red grape from western Sicily, organically grown to produce medium to full bodied wines with a deep ruby colour. A bright acidity and firm tannins gives an elegant and delightful wine.
Nearly wiped out in the late 1800’s by phylloxera, forward thinking wine-makers are growing it once again as a pure, single-varietal wine.
No added sulphites.
