A third generation family-run winery have produced this fantastic sweet red wine, the perfect match for any chocolate or rich fruit dessert. Equally good with blue cheeses.
The Celler Piñol winery has 57 hectares of their own grape vines between 1,300 and 1,640 feet (400 and 500 metres) above sea level. The continental micro-climate is influenced by the Mediterranean Sea and has marked temperature changes between the day and night, especially during grape ripening periods, with low rainfall with lots of sunshine. The soils are dark and chalky, with some clay alongside low levels of organic material. This brilliant Spanish terrain allows the production of intense and complex organic wines.
The wine is bottled un-filtered so there may be some natural sediment.
